This week we’re learning about the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Hawai'i. This Sunday evening, the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Hawai`i’s annual “Share A Night” gala is happening at the Sheraton Waikiki.

Recently the UK rock band Bush released their latest album, Man On The Run, featuring the first single, The Only Way Out. If you’re not a rock music fan, Bush may be more familiar to you as the band whose singer is married to Gwen Stefani of No Doubt; or as the band who had music featured on Hawai'i 5-0’s 100th episode, and whose singer, Gavin Rossdale, has shot a role as a villain on the locally produced TV series.

This week we’re learning about United Cerebral Palsy Association (UCPA) of Hawai'i with our guest Donna Foust, Executive Director.

Today on HPR we get a chance to speak with a young guitarist touring the state for his second time. Andy McKee returns for a three island tour starting tonight in Honolulu, and spoke with All Things Considered local host Dave Lawrence. A musician who largely was discovered on Youtube,  McKee is fortunate to have attracted the attention of some noteworthy artists along the way, and pays tribute to others through his work.

Musician Jack Bruce passed away last weekend on Saturday, at age 71. Earlier this year, following the release of his first album in a decade, Silver Rails, HPR All Things Considered local host Dave Lawrence had the chance to speak with the legendary bassist, vocalist and songwriter, who first came to fame in the pioneering 60’s British rock band Cream.
